MAZDA RADIO

Conventionally Mazda only produced price-point led radio spots. Fortunately my Copywriter and I managed to help create an environment where the client trusted us to produce radio ads that showed off the brand's sense of humour, rather than just ramming price points down listeners' throats. Here are two of a series we produced.

 

MAZDA HOMEPAGE TAKEOVER

The new lighter Mazda2 is more streamlined, more responsive and more efficient, all because it weighs 100KG less than the previous model. To demonstrate this, the website was stripped down in a HPTO to make the messaging more direct. 

 

SMART Parking

The Smart ForTwo is the perfect city car, designed to fit into the smallest of parking spaces. The banners highlighted this simply by finding the most awkward of spaces on the website and parking perfectly.

 

MERCEDES-BENZ BUSINESS MISTAKES

A business mailer aimed at corporate travel managers, the Viano DM set out to highlight the MPV's product benefits and demonstrate how its versatility could help their clients stay on top of their business needs. We did this through highlighting infamous mistakes made by other managers that really affected their business and how adding the Viano to their fleet could help them avoid making a business mistake of their own.

Laced with subtle 'mistakes' of its own, the DM became a labour of love, (I even did the illustrations), as we took the theme to heart to put a different twist on a normally dull subject matter.
